Window Coverings – Blinds

Blinds are type of window covering; it is used to regulate the light coming through the window. They also have varying thermal effect by blocking the sunlight and cold weather. Besides that blinds improves the visual appeal and compliments the building interiors.

Types of Blinds:

• Horizontal Blinds (Venetian Blinds)
  • Venetian Blinds have horizontally suspended strips of slats made of aluminum, plastic or wood, the slats adjust by rotating from open position to close position by over lapping. The incoming lights can be regulated by rotating the slats upto 180 degrees. Venetian comes in various shades.
• Vertical Blinds
  • Vertical Blinds have vertically suspended strips of louvers made of aluminum, plastic or wood, the slats adjust by rotating from open position to close position by over lapping. The incoming lights can be regulated by rotating the slats upto 180 degrees. They effectively cover large windows and occupy very less space when collapsed.
• Chick Blinds
  • Chick blinds are called woven blinds, they are made of Bamboo or woods; they give a distinctive and glamorous look to your interior decor. The woven strips of bamboo filters the light and create calm & soothing ambience. Chick blinds comes in various textures and tones.
  • They can be rolled up or can be gathered at the top like roman blinds
• Roller Blinds
  • oller Blinds are made of fabric or flexible plastics sheets, they are designed to allow permissible light and gives uniform and clean appearance. They can rolled up by pulling the string. Roller blinds do not allow air to pass through. Ideal for areas where air flow through window is not required.
